For viewing events generated from the camera systems

Overview

The Events page provides a central workspace for reviewing, managing, and classifying detected events generated by vehicle systems. Events typically represent moments where predefined rules or analytics have identified a potential safety-related condition.

The page is designed to support triage, review, and escalation workflows.

Event list and filtering

The left-hand panel presents a filterable list of events.

Users can filter events by:

  • fleet

  • time range (e.g. last 48 hours)

  • event type

  • data source (e.g. video, telematics)

  • predefined quick filters

Events are grouped into workflow states:

  • New

  • Escalated

  • Reviewed

  • Archived

This allows teams to manage large volumes of events in a structured way.

Event summary cards

Each event in the list displays key summary information, including:

  • event type (e.g. collision warnings)

  • vehicle identifier

  • time and date

  • speed at time of event

  • environmental context (e.g. temperature)

  • review status (e.g. “Review optional”)

  • presence of video evidence

This enables rapid prioritisation without opening each event in full.

Event detail view

Selecting an event opens a detailed event review view.

This includes:

  • recorded video clip associated with the event

  • timestamp and vehicle identifier

  • speed and contextual overlays

  • playback controls (play, pause, speed, zoom)

The video provides visual context around the detected event.

Event status and classification

The Status section allows reviewers to classify the event outcome, including options such as:

  • Escalate

  • Do Not Escalate

  • False Alarm

These controls support structured decision-making and downstream workflows.

Comments

The Add Comments section allows users to:

  • record notes

  • capture reviewer observations

  • add context or rationale for decisions

  • to ask someone else to review the event, you ca use the @ symbol to tag someone (they will receive an email)

This supports internal communication and auditability.

Audit trail

An Audit Trail section records actions taken on the event, such as:

  • status changes

  • reviews

  • escalations

This provides visibility into how the event has been handled over time.

Map and route context

A map view shows the vehicle’s route and position at the time of the event.

  • The event location is highlighted

  • The surrounding journey context is visible

This helps reviewers understand where the event occurred geographically.

Telemetry and graphs

Below the map, telemetry and graphs display time-aligned vehicle data, such as:

  • speed

  • accelerator and brake usage

  • indicator usage

Graphs allow reviewers to see how vehicle behaviour changed around the event timestamp.

Typical usage

The Events page is typically used to:

  • review automatically detected events

  • confirm whether events are valid or false alarms

  • escalate events that require follow-up

  • add reviewer notes

  • maintain an audit trail of decisions

Scope

The Events page focuses on discrete, time-bounded incidents. It is designed to reduce the need to review long stretches of video by surfacing specific moments of interest.
