Overview
The Analytics page provides a fleet-level view of event activity and trends over a selected time period. It is designed to help users understand patterns, volumes, and distribution of events across vehicles, time, and geography.
The focus is on aggregation and trend analysis, rather than investigation of individual incidents.
Summary indicators
At the top of the page, summary tiles present key counts and statuses, including:
Active vehicles
Events to review
Escalations
Fatigue
Distractions
No driver
These indicators provide an immediate snapshot of overall fleet activity and alert status within the selected time range.
Event type breakdown
A table shows event counts by event type, including:
total number of events
total escalations
average speed at time of event
Examples include tailgating, collision warnings, pedestrian collision warnings, and emergency alarms.
This view allows users to compare relative frequency and context of different event categories.
Events per vehicle
A ranked list shows event counts per vehicle, ordered by registration plate.
Enables identification of vehicles with higher event volumes.
Supports fleet-level analysis and prioritisation.
Vehicles are compared based on event frequency only.
Events trends
The Events Trends section provides visualisations showing how events vary over time.
This includes:
Events per day
Events per day of the week
Hour of the day distributions
Users can apply filters by:
event type
event status
vehicle selection
These views help identify temporal patterns, such as peak times or recurring trends.
Geographic distribution
A map visualisation shows event locations, clustered geographically.
Indicates where events are most frequently occurring.
Helps identify geographic hotspots or operational areas with higher event density.
Aggregates events spatially rather than showing individual journeys.
Filtering and controls
Users can refine analytics using:
fleet selection
date range
event type filters
status filters
This allows analytics to be tailored to specific operational questions without leaving the page.
Typical usage
The Analytics page is typically used to:
Understand overall safety trends
Compare event volumes across vehicles
Identify recurring patterns by time or location
Support fleet-level planning and review
Decide where deeper investigation may be required
It is not intended for reviewing individual incidents or footage directly.
Scope
Analytics focuses on aggregation, comparison, and trends. It summarises large volumes of event data into manageable insights rather than exposing underlying raw records.
