Live Stream
Overview
The Live Stream (Play) page allows users to view real-time video feeds from a selected vehicle camera, alongside current location and telemetry data. It is intended to provide immediate visual and contextual awareness of a vehicle’s current situation.
Vehicle and stream selection
At the top of the page, users can:
Select the vehicle to stream from
Choose the stream quality (e.g. high quality)
Switch to playback mode via a dedicated control
Live video feed
The main panel displays the live camera feed from the selected channel.
The active channel (e.g. Front) is clearly indicated
On-screen overlays include:
vehicle identifier
timestamp
current speed
camera channel name
Playback controls allow pausing and resuming the stream
Snapshot or zoom controls are available directly on the video player
This feed provides real-time visual context of the vehicle’s surroundings.
Channel controls
Users can choose which camera channel to view (e.g. front-facing).
Supports vehicles with multiple camera inputs
Enables switching between available perspectives during a live session
Location and position
The left-hand panel displays current location information, including:
Last update timestamp
Street-level address
Latitude and longitude
Map view showing vehicle position and orientation
This provides geographic context alongside the video feed.
Update history
An updates history section indicates whether recent data or events are available for the selected vehicle.
Empty states clearly indicate when no events are present
Supports awareness of recent system activity
Telemetry
The telemetry panel shows live vehicle data, such as:
Current speed
Vehicle status indicators
Additional metrics available via “Show more”
Typical usage
The Live Stream page is typically used to:
Check the current situation of a vehicle
Gain immediate visual context during an incident or alert
Verify vehicle surroundings or conditions
Support operational or support workflows requiring real-time visibility
Scope
This page focuses on real-time observation, not historical analysis. For reviewing past activity, users are directed to playback or event-based views.
Playback
Overview
The Playback page allows users to review recorded video and telemetry from a specific vehicle over a selected time period. It combines video, map-based journey context, and time-aligned vehicle data to support retrospective review of trips and incidents.
Vehicle and time selection
At the top of the page, users can:
Select the vehicle to review
Choose the recording date
Select the stream quality
Switch back to live video when required
Video playback
The main video panel displays recorded footage from the selected camera channel.

Playback controls allow:
play / pause
scrubbing through the timeline
Snapshot and zoom controls are available on the video player
Channel selection
Users can choose which camera channel to view during playback.

Map and journey view
The map shows the vehicle’s recorded route for the selected trip or time window.
Displays:
route path
current playback position
directional indicator
Playback position is synchronised with the map marker
This provides geographic context alongside the video footage.
Timeline
The timeline at the bottom of the page represents the recorded time window.
Allows users to:
scrub to specific points in time
jump between recorded segments
Greyed or segmented areas indicate recording availability or gaps
This supports efficient navigation through longer recordings.
Telemetry
The telemetry panel displays vehicle data aligned to the playback timestamp, such as:
speed
vehicle state indicators
additional metrics available on demand
Telemetry updates as playback progresses, allowing correlation between video and vehicle behaviour.
Graph views
Tabs below the timeline allow users to switch between:

Driver view
Clip creation
A “Create clip” control allows users to extract a segment of recorded footage from the playback timeline.
Supports sharing or further review
Enables isolating specific moments of interest without exporting full recordings
Typical usage
The Playback page is typically used to:
Review journeys after completion
Investigate incidents or events
Validate alerts or alarms
Extract short clips for reporting or evidence
Correlate video with location and telemetry data
Scope
Playback focuses on retrospective analysis. Unlike live video, it enables review with context, controls, and navigation across time.
